MTB DELEGATION ATTENDED THE 82ND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF TOBB.
The general assembly, hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at the TOBB Economics and Technology University, was attended by Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, chamber and exchange presidents, delegates, business representatives, and numerous guests from all 81 provinces of Turkey.
In his speech at the general assembly, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they will continue to monitor and resolve the problems of their members together with the chambers and exchanges.
Drawing attention to the fact that countries are developing policies to protect their own production capacities in the global economy, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that firms and production facilities should be considered national assets, and emphasized the importance of designing a comprehensive "Industrial Protection and Transformation Strategy" to protect Turkey's production, investment, employment, and export capacity.
In his remarks regarding the General Assembly, President Özcan stated that the consultations held under the umbrella of TOBB offer significant gains for the future of the business world, and used the following expressions:
“It is of great importance that policies that will protect our country's production power and make our industry and trade more competitive are shaped by common sense. The TOBB General Assembly is an important platform where chamber and exchange representatives from all over Turkey come together to evaluate the priority agenda items of the business world. As an exchange, we are also resolutely continuing our efforts to express the expectations and demands of our members on every platform and to further advance the economic potential of our city.”
