MAYOR ÖZCAN'S EID AL-ADHA GREETING MESSAGE

Mayor Özcan wished that Eid al-Adha would be an occasion for the end of wars and problems throughout the world and for the strengthening of unity and solidarity, and congratulated the entire Islamic world on Eid al-Adha. Özcan stated that Eid al-Adha is an exceptional period when feelings of mutual assistance, sharing, and solidarity reach their peak, and noted the following in his message:

“Holidays are not only special days on the calendar, but also meaningful periods when the consciousness of being a nation, the spirit of unity, and our common values regain strength. They are special periods when the values that hold our society together are remembered, and love, respect, and tolerance come to life. These meaningful days bring not only individual happiness but also social solidarity and a sense of shared responsibility.
Eid al-Adha is also an occasion for solidarity where our culture of mutual assistance and sharing is revived, we extend a helping hand to those in need, we visit our elders and cheer them up, and we bring joy to the children. Preserving these beauties and passing them on to future generations is both our humanitarian duty and our cultural responsibility.

In a period when the world is going through difficult times, the fundamental elements that keep our country, located in the most critical geography, strong are our national and spiritual values. When we are united and together around these values, there is nothing we cannot overcome. May Eid al-Adha also bring joy to our country and hearts.” I hope that this occasion will contribute to strengthening our brotherhood in our geography and to ending the tears of the oppressed throughout the world. With these feelings and thoughts, I congratulate our dear nation, all my fellow citizens, our valuable members, and the entire Islamic world on the blessed Eid al-Adha, and wish you a holiday filled with health and happiness.”
