Malatya province, which acts as a bridge between the East and the West, generally has the characteristics of both the east and the west. In this cultural axis, our city, which has the distinction of being the real mirror of our Turkey; As a result of the investments and studies, it provides high standards of health services.

As the Provincial Health Directorate, our aim is not only to provide services; is to develop the sense of service demand of our people.

Because we know that; Although we try to reach all settlements, there is no chance of success in societies where there is no voluntary public participation and where there is no awareness of health culture.

In this awareness, we are in an effort to make our province the health center of the region in terms of the services provided, together with our dedicated health personnel.

HEALTH INSTITUTIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS IN OUR CITY

Inpatient Treatment Institutions

There are a total of 12 Inpatient Treatment Institutions in our province, 10 of which are public and 2 are privately owned. These inpatient treatment institutions have 1880 staff, 1746 existing beds.

There are a total of 668 beds in 8 State Hospitals (7 of which are in districts) belonging to the Ministry of Health.

PERSONNEL STATUS AND POPULATION RELATIONS

As Ministry of Health personnel in our province; 130 Specialist physicians, 428 General Practitioners (47 contracted), 685 Health officers and Health technicians (123 contracted), 677 Nurses (71 contracted) and 681 Midwives (67 contracted) work.

There are 87 health centers in total, 49 of which are in 2 inactive Uzuntaş-Korucak villages .

There are 470 Health Houses serving under our health centers .

In our city, there is 1 Health Center for 8280 population and 1 Health Center for 1533 population.

Our province is in a good condition in terms of the number of population per health center and health house. Health centers are primary health care institutions where broad and comprehensive primary health care services are provided in a narrow area. Depending on these, there are health houses, which are the smallest health units at the extreme point. Preventive and curative health services are provided in an integrated manner in our health centers, which are evenly distributed across the province.
